THE BENEFITS OF COMPOSTING WITH EARTHMAKER
Earthmaker
is a patented multi-chamber composting system that uses gravity rather
than hard labour to produce great compost. Less sophisticated composters
require separate bins to allow proper maturation, along with lots of turning
to speed the aeration process. With the Earthmaker, three tiered compartments
within the unit allow a daily input of kitchen or garden waste in the
top chamber and a regular supply of mature compost from the lower chamber.
It's the world's first continuous cycle composter
- Traditional Process - a tried and true 3 stage process with
separate bins for each composting stage.
- No Sweat - no backbreaking shovelling from bin to bin - gravity
does the hard work.
- Takes Kitchen Waste - not just green waste - no more rotting
garbage.
- Aerated - material loosens as it spills from shelf to shelf
- no lifting and turning required.
- Aerobic - natural heat draws air up through the material -
no smelly, anaerobic rotting mess; less greenhouse gas emissions.
- Worms Love It - composting worms find their own way into Earthmaker
- it's a natural worm farm.
- Less Landfill - organic waste should not be buried - creates
methane and leachate.
- Eco Friendly - composting is natural - sending organic
waste 'down the gurgler' steals oxygen from waterways.
- No Contamination - you control the input - centralised
composting risks contamination.
- Easy Operation - simple to use - including for the elderly,
those with arthritis or in wheelchairs.
- Convenient - because Earthmaker is compact, and without unpleasant
odours, you can keep it close to the house for convenience. No more
trekking to the bottom of the garden.
- Easy use for all - the easily opened lid, the large door opening
and the purpose designed Push-Pull tool making composting easy - for
all ages and levels of mobility.
- Can digest 1000-1500kg of mixed kitchen and garden waste per
year.
- Can provide 20-30 litres of compost every month.
