Earthmaker Process

EARTHMAKER  is a revolutionary new bin that takes the hard work and hassle out of composting. And because it works aerobically it's the most eco-friendly way to manage domestic organic waste.

Featuring a unique triple chamber design which: The Earthmaker - continuous cycle composter.

  • composts aerobically thus minimising greenhouse gas emissions
  • allows continuous input of kitchen and garden waste to the top chamber
  • uses gravity to do all the hard work
  • provides a continuous source of fresh compost from the bottom chamber
  • keeps fresh waste and mature compost separate
  • is easy to assemble and use and has a large 466 litre capacity
  • produces good quality compost, faster than traditional methods
  • in independent trials, produced over twice as much ready to use compost as a traditional bin during the same period

The Earthmaker process is so simple. No need for digging, turning and transferring material as in the traditional three bin method of composting.

No need for regular turning and mixing of the compost and none of the problems with keeping mature compost and fresh waste separated that are associated with single bin composting.

Because GRAVITY does the hard work, it requires just a few minutes of your time each month to move the contents from chamber to chamber, with very little effort for a regular supply of compost. Perfect for all those with busy lives and for gardeners of all ages and levels of mobility.

Easy to assemble, it just clicks together. No tools or screws required.  Nor do you need previous composting experience. Full assembly instructions and a four-page user guide are included in every pack and can also be downloaded from this site.

Garden Organics, formerly HDRA, has completed a 26-week trial of Earthmaker versus traditional compost bins. Read their Expert Opinion: HDRA report

The three chambers have a total capacity of 466 litres and the bin stands 1.2 metres tall with a diameter of 75cm.
